Abstract

The age of Yixian Formation of Mesozoic erathem in West Liaoning has been disputed for a long time At present, there are mainly three viewpoints:Jurasic,Cretaceous,or Jurassic Cretaceous Based on a large amount of isotopic data and the stratigraphic contact relationship in field, it is suggested that Mid Lower Yixian F should belong to Upper Jurassic series;but Upper Yixian F should belong to Lower Cretaceous series
