Abstract
The molecular biological techniques has been used widely and it has a profound impact on pollution ecology.This paper summarized the molecular biological techniques which can be used in pollution ecology, including electrophoresis,molecular markers,DNA sequencing,genetic engineering and so on.Dynamic analysis of population in contaminated environment,diversity of community structure,bioassays and biomonitoring,biological alert system for the lagging ecological consequences under pollution,biological remediation were also reviewed in this paper. Several different techniques to be explored and put into use comprehensively in pollution ecology research were discussed.
