Abstract
The paper discusses the partial scouring of pebble bed by deflector dissipation by way of muddy water model test. The result indicates that the discharge per unit width, the sediment concentration, the grain size of sand influences the depth of scour hole. The paper puts forward some preliminary understandings of scouring characteristic of muddy water.
