Abstract

Voice coil linear motors were direct drive,linear control,non-commutated limited motion electromagnetic devices.Their high acceleration,high precision,fast response characteristics made voice coil linear motors ideal for short-stroke closed loop servo applications.This paper discussed the structure and basic principle of voice coil linear motors,and analyzed the design and control method of voice coil linear motors in detailed.The typical application and recent studies of voice coil linear motors were presented.
