Abstract
The activation of sympathetic nerves is important in the occurrence and development of hypertension.Sympathectomy is a treatment that has increased the survival ratio of patients with resistant hypertension,resulting in significantly lowered blood pressure.However,the risks and subsequent side-effects of a sympathectomy make it necessary to use antihypertensive drugs.Renal sympathetic denervation is an alternative to sympathectomy.It is a novel nonpharmacological therapy that causes less damage,has a faster recovery time,and no severe complications.
