Abstract
Use of deep-hole water-pressure blasting for cutting expansion of existed railway line can not only save explosive amount and protect the environment, but also result in small fragments favorable to loading and hauling. In the condition of shallow excavation,it is possible that a steel-pipe bent for prevention of flying rocks is unnecessary to be set so long as the charged holes are covered. This paper introduces the drilling pattern, calculation of one-hole charge weight, initiating method and safety precautions in deep-hole water-pressure blasting without the steel-pipe bent, emphasizing charging structure and blasting result.
