The Research of Key Technologies for The Tile Map in WebGIS

Aiming at the characteristics of WebGIS system,this paper proposes the method of using pyramid tile maps technology to generate different levels of tile maps in server in advance.This method enhances the efficiency of the electric map generation,publish,display and browsing,which alleviates the load of WebGIS Server greatly and the burden of the network transmission.The technical realization of the tile maps model has been briefly introduced.The key technologies are described about the tile map pyramid model's construction and the tile map pyramid data's organization and the tile map's index mechanism establishment.
