Abstract

Two processes(Aeration lagoon and Activated sludge)were used to treat effluent from BCMPand BCTMP waste water of fir, spruce and poplar and their purification efficiencv were tested. The resultsshow that:a)aerobic biological process is favour to this type of waste water;b)for waste water with CODlevel of 1~2 kg COD/m ̄3·d under the batch process(after 32 h aeration),64.7% COD_(cr) was removed frompoplar BCMP effluent and 53.0% COD_(cr) removed from fir BCMP effluent; under continuous process,67%~80%COD_(cr) removed from spruce effluent and 73%~87%COD_(cr) removed from poplar effluent,97%~99%BOD_7 removed from both spruce and poplar effluent;c)whole system was stable and easy for regula-tion.
