OPTIMAL DESIGN FOR THE STRUCTURAL PARAMETER IN SHAPE STEEL TRUSS WITH PARALLEL CHORD

Abstract

The inclined angle α of ventral pole is an important parameter of parallel chord steel truss structure design.At present,the angle α varies between 30°≤α≤60° in the design specifications.However,in design of truss,what these parameters are can only make the designed truss the most economic,so far any clear conclusion for it hasn't been reached.In this paper this question has been studied on the basis of the condition of strength and stability and the mathematical mould of optimal design has been established.And then it is solved in an approximate method and the optimal solution of the structural parameters has been derived,which provides theoretical foundation for the optimal design of the truss.
