Manganese Distribution in Soil and Tobacco Leaf in Different Soil pH Areas in Qujing

Abstract

Based on the analysis of the distribution characteristics and its correlation of soil available Mn and Mn content in flue cured tobacco in different soil pH areas of Yunnan Qujing,a general idea of the distribution of the smoke zone pH value,soil,and manganese contents in tobacco leaf was obtained.Results indicated that:(1)The average pH value of the tobacco-growing area in Qujing was(6.26±0.86),in the normal range for tobacco growth;(2) The soil available Mn was in the appropriate range,with an average of(32.43±20.28) mg kg-1.Among them,37.93% of the soil samples existed different degrees of Mn lack or rich.The Mn content in tobacco was(157.11±94.51) mg kg-1 in average with the rangeof 13.73-782.71 mg kg-1.The Mn content in different grades of tobacco leaves changed with the following order: B2F C3F X2F.The Mn content in 75.98% of the samples was in the range from 0.2%-0.7%;(3) Results indicated that the Mn content in flue-cured tobacco leaf had significant positive correlation with soil available Mn.The soil pH had significant positive correlation with soil available Mn and the Mn content in flue-cured tobacco leaf.
