Abstract
By IR and experiments, effects of fine crosselinked starch on the properties of thermoplastic biodegradable plastics were studied. The results showed that the average diameter of crosselinked starch reached 3 μm.Treated by coupling agent, water resistance of the fine crosslinked starch was enhanced. The content of starch in the plastics was up to 40%.The tensile strength of the plastics was 62.3 MPa,and the breaking elongation was 289%.The absorption of water was 0.31% after 48 h.The rate of biodegradation exceeded 50% in the soil after 120 days.
