Abstract
The changes,distribution and shortage degree of water resources,water quality,emissions and distribution of major pollutants of Liao River basin were analyzed and evaluated.The results showed that a serious shortage of water resources in Liao River basin and the utilization of water resources is very high.Although the overall situation of water pollution has reduced in the basin,but the NH3-N pollution is still serious.Third,it is organic pollution of Liao River,and the main pollutants are NH3-N and COD which is mainly concentrated in the Hun River and Taizi River.Finally,there is obvious contradiction between water supply and demand in Liao River basin,if the problem is not resolved,will have restricted the local economic development seriously.
