An Information Retrieval Model Based on Users' Category Intention

How to get users' intention from the users' query is discussed,and the result of IR system based on the intention is improved.The definition of users' intention is given and models for documents to be searched and users' queries based on specific intention are built.Some methods to improve the IR result based on intention are discussed.Finally, some experiments are designed to validate the proposed methods.The experimental results show a good improvement by combining intention with IR.
