Abstract
The concentrations of six kinds of heavy metals and organic matter in sediments from the middle and lower reaches of Huaihe River were determined,their distribution characteristics were discussed,and their correlativity was analyzed.The results shown that the maximum of the heavy metals and organic matter appeared basically in Pingwei and Luohe in Huainan city,which indicated they were contaminated by the heavy metals as well as by the organic contaminants,and that there were distinct positive correlations among a majority of heave metals,which also had the good positive correlations with the organic matter.
