Abstract
The construction land expansion is an obvious characteristic of metropolitan area morphological variation in urbanization process, and the laws, processes and features is a main measure criteria of urban development level and pattern.Based on two decades of built-up area spatial-temporal distribution at Yubei District, applies remote sensing and geographic information system technology to analyze the area, speed, direction, pattern of built-up area expansion, and expansion of road construction area, then reveals the the laws, processes and features of built-up areas and road construction extension at Yubei district, which provide a scientific reference for region's urban planning, land and water resources management and macro-control policy.
