Surgical Open Reduction and Plate Fixation for the Treatment of Calcaneal Fractures Observed

Objective To evaluate the surgical treatment of open reduction and plate fixation of the clinical efficacy of calcaneal fractures.Methods Select our hospital from June 2004 to June 2008 using open reduction,strong fixation and early functional exercise method treated 28 patients with calcaneal fractures(33 feet),24 cases were male and 4 female; aged 15 ~ 60 years,mean 31 years old.According to Sanders classification:Ⅱ 12-foot,Ⅲ in 15 feet,Ⅳ type 6 feet.X-ray film after injury,Bohler angle 12 °~ 15 °,will be followed by surgery from the articular surface anatomical reduction,recovery Bohler angle.Results Conventional photo postoperative lateral calcaneal axial X-ray film showed normal range of Bohler angle,29 feet.All patients were followed up for 9 ~ 20 months,an average of 15 months,according to Maryland foot score system to assess postoperative function,excellent 15 foot,good in 14 feet,can be 4 feet,a good rate of 87.9%.Conclusion The surgical treatment of open reduction and plate fixation of calcaneal fractures with satisfaction.
