Survey of health education demands in stroke patients and the strategies

ObjectiveTo investigate demands for health education in stroke patients.Methods300 stroke patients were examined with a questionnaire designed by the authors themselves involving demands of health education.ResultsThe survey discovered that what the patients wanted to know as regards the education contents was mainly the cause of episode and the common sense of medication (taking up 95% and 93% respectively); the education methods most popular for them were promotion manual and lectures (39% and 20% respectively).ConclusionThe health education effect relies mainly on patient's demand for the health education and appropriate education methods.
