Abstract

[Objective]To analyse the clinical effect of tibial plateau fractures with internal fixation.[Methods]Sixty four cases of tibial plateau fracture were treated with open reduction, internal fixation, BMP graft and postoperative rehabilitation from April 2004 to May 2005.[Results]All the patients were followed-up for an average of 9.63 months. The clinical results were assessed according to Rasmussen clinical and radiological scoring systems, which showed the excellent and good rates were 82.8% and 81.3% respectively.[Conclusion]Internal fixation is an effective method to treat tibial plateau fracture. Correct choice of operation occasion, stable internal fixation, protection of the knee joint structure, BMP graft and correct function rehabilitation show significant impact on curative effects.
