Abstract
CuO/γ-Al_2O_3 and Fe_2O_3/γ-Al_2O_3 catalysts for the catalytic wet peroxide oxidation were prepared by impregnation method. The effects of preparation condition of the catalysts were studied using the catalytic wet peroxide oxidation of methyl orange as the probe reaction. The results showed that the activity of CuO/γ-Al_2O_3 was higher than Fe_2O_3γ-Al_2O_3,and its decoloration rate reached almost 100% after methyl orange was oxidated for 2 h.The results of orthogonal and stability tests indicated that the calcination temperature has the biggest influence on the catalytic activity;Cu leaching of the catalyst calcined at 350℃ was less and its repeated use properties were well. The results of SEM and XRD characterization showed that the active components were well dispersed on the surface of CuO/γ-Al_2O_3 catalyst.
