Application of the tube mold on bloom caster

Abstract
Tube mold has been used in the bloom caster at Baotou Steel. The surface quality,internal quality and configuration of the bloom were traced during the trail production period. It was proved that bloom surface quality was improved ,and especially defect of corner cold-shut was improved evidently.Both the internal quality and section configuration of the bloom are satisfied the requirement of the products.
