Abstract
Objectives:To explore the value of detecting the endothelial fuction of brachial artery in the decond trimester in predicting the hypertensive disorders in pregnancy.Methods:Flow-mediated dilation (FMD)of brachial artery for 260 pregnancy women were measured by high resolution ultrasonography in the second trimester. All of them were followed up till postpartum and enrolled into hypertensive or normal groups. Results:The mean of FMD in hypertensive group[9.0%] was significantly lower than that in normal group[17.0%] (P0.01),and the FMD in the severe preeclampsia group [6.7%] was significantly lower than that in mild preeclampsia[12.6%](P0.01).Conclusions:Although the blood pressure in ealy-stage of hypertensive disorders in pregnancy was normal, the endothelial function of brachial artery was impaired and can be detected by high resolution ultrasonography.
