160 CASES OF RIGID URETEROSCOPE COMBINED WITH PNEUMATIC LITHOTRIPSY IN THE TREATMENT OF CALCULI

Abstract
Objective To explore the indication,technique and evaluation of ureteroscope lithotripsy in the treatment of ureteral stones.Methods 160 patients with ureteral stones were treated by ureteroscopic lithotripsy in our hospital from January 2007 to June 2009.We analyzed operation technique,effect and complications in these cases.Results 152 cases were treated successfully(95.0%).146 cases were healed well by once treatment(91.2%).6 cases whose ureteral stone came into renal pelvis were treated by shock wave successfully(3.7%).2 cases with complications of ureteral perforation were cured promptly and successfully(1.3%).Conclusion Transureteroscopic lithotripsy in the treatment of ureteral stones is simple,mini-trauma,direct-viewing and useful.Transureteroscopic lithotripsy can be the best choice for the treatment of low or middle-ureter stones.
