Metaphysics of Wang Guo-wei and its Theoretical Sources

Abstract

The metaphysics of Wang Guo-wei originated from his concern for the life,a deep concern for the living individual and the real life.It urged him to reflect the cause of living torment and the approach to extraction: the suffering of life comes from the desire for life and the way to extract from it lies in art——aesthetics.The theoretical source is Schopenhauerian Voluntarism Ontology and Critique of Kant's Analysis of BeautyTherefore,metaphysics,as an agency of poetic construction in Wang Guo-wei's philosophy of concern for life,is of great significance.
