Abstract

Fertility transformation was studied by seeding by stages、seeding in different regions and controlling photoperiod and temperature in phytotron. The character of fertility transformation of 501-8S was thermo-sensitive,showed male sterility in high-temperature.The temperature of fertility transformation was between 12.5℃ and 17.5℃;The photoperiod had no obvious effect on the fertility transformation.Genetic studies indicated that 501-8S was CMS line,a pair of gene controlled the fertility, and restore gene was dominant.
