Abstract
The paper introduces the current situation of Huili ancient city, analyzes the protection status of the ancient city and its problems, points out the protection principles and general ideas for the ancient city, undertakes the research on the historical architectural protection of the ancient city, solves the insufficient protection planning of the city, and achieves to reveal the historical image of the architectural outline and to be suitable for the modern life requirements.
