Abstract

The people of the Dong nationality of Guangxi believe in various gods,such as natural gods and figural gods,becoming a typical example of religious mixed-gods worship in the southern China.The people of the Dong nationality have long been reputed as good singers and their folk songs are countless.As a kind of traditional music,the sacred music among the Dong people coexists with their popular religious belief,not only rich in its variety,but also unique in musical characteristics.
