Abstract
Saul Bellow is a leading Jewish American writer in the twentieth century.Seize the Day,published in 1956,is Bellow's most representative novella.This essay explores the dialogue and microdialouge within the text.With a detailed analysis of the dialogue within its structure in terms of its spatial juxtaposition of the two layers of the plot and the counterpoint of characters and the discussion upon three major types of double-voiced discourse,the paper is proving that this novella carries great thematic import and makes the work an aesthetic of fluidity and plenitude.
