Basic studies on the cultural difference betweenChinese and English euphemism

Euphemism is a kind of common linguistic phenomenon,which has been widely used in various areas of social life.At the same time,euphemism is the cultural phenomenon,there is close relation between the emergence and usage and social culture.In this essay,on the basis of cultural research,the author illustrates a number of examples to explore the cultural difference between Chinese and English euphemism.Through such kind of discussion,it can give us necessary theory foundation to make good use of euphemism.
