On the values of insomnia disease position diagnosis of TCM according to single symptom

The unified insomnia syndrome type standard of TCM may be one of the reasons which is efficacy treatment and low repeatability in insomnia of TCM.Insomnia core pathogenesis is five-god(soul,god,mind,vigor,will) attributable to five-organs(liver,heart,spleen,lung,kidney).In more than 20 years of clinical research,we find that insomnia disease position diagnosis method of TCM by patients’ single complaint is less affected by individual syndrome,more objective,more operational and repeatable.The method is also convenient to promote the use of clinic and research.The clearer relationship of the five-organs and five-gods may be a better entry point for five-god theories of TCM.
