Abstract

This article first discusses the advances and the applications of main armor materials,including armour steel,aluminum alloys,titanium alloy,ceramic and composite materials. Then,the basical theory and research status of some typical armor protection technologies are introduced in detail,such as explosive reactive armor,composite armor,grille armor,electromagnetic armor and so on. And on this basis,the future development trend of armor protection technology is also discussed,which is important to improve the protection ability and viability of armored vehicle.
