Abstract
OBJECTIVE:To develop a RP-HPLC method for simultaneous determination of oleanolic acid and ursolic acid in Hedyotis diffusa.METHODS:The optimum HPLC conditions were as follows:Nucledure C 18 column(4.6mm×150mm);mobile phase:acetonitrile-potassium phosphate,pH=7.84(45∶55);detection wavelength:220nm.RESULTS:The average recoveries of oleanolic acid and ursolic acid were(96.79±2.42)%and(97.15±2.33)%respectively.CONCLUSION:The met_ hod could detect oleanolic acid and ursolic acid in Hedyotis diffusa simultaneously. It could be used in the quality control of the herb.
