Abstract
The audibility was examined in 1083 workers exposed to steady state noise,112 workers exposed to impulse noise and 467 controls. The results showed that the hearing loss incidences in steady state noise group and impulse noise group and control group were 47 8%,66 1%,and 8 1% respectively. The incidence of the noise exposure groups was significantly higher than that of the controls group( P 0 01).The incidence of the impulse noise group was significantly higher than that of the steady state noise group( P 0 01).Accompanying the increase of noise intensity exposure and the length of employment, the hearing loss was increased correspondently. There was a relation of dose response between the hearing loss and the intensity of noise exposure of cumulative noise exposuse(CNE).
