Abstract
Confucianism was recognized as a principle rule of society during the Han Dynasty and it started to have a profound influ-ence on people's thinking as well as scholarship.Different schools of thought that had helped bring Confucianism into the mainstream also influenced women,who adopted different ways and means to take part in this process of mainstreaming.From the adaptation of Confucian teaching into cultural practices to the appropriation of Confucianism into career pursuits,women's acceptance of Confucian-ism manifested the popularization of Confucianism in society.
