Abstract
In this paper, the additional amount of H_2O_2,FeSO_4,pH,and concentration of wastewater have effect on the COD removals in treating simulated m-Cresol water by UV/Fenton process are investigated. The optimum con ditions are determined trough a large number of experiments: pH is 4.0,[H_2O_2]/[Fe~(2+)] is 15,the time of Fenton and ultraviolet rays reacting is about 60min.when the initial water's concentration is 251 mg/L,the clearance o f COD is about 80% by using UV/Fenton process. For the better removal ratio, the clearance would be 90.5% if TiO_2 is added. Finally, the water is treated by C a(OH)_2 flocculation, and the clearance is 92.5%.
