Abstract
By using atomic absorption spectrophotometry, the contents of heavy metal elements Pb,Cu,Cr,Cd and trace element Zn in three kinds of vegetables(rape, tomato and eggplant) from the large supermarkets and free markets of Fuzhou city were detected, and the grade of heavy metal pollution in these vegetables in Fuzhou was evaluated by single-factor pollution evaluation index. The results showed that the pollution grade of Cr in individual vegetables from free markets was mild, and that of Pb in part vegetables was mild or moderate. However, the content of Cd in all vegetable samples from two types of markets exceeded the national standard, and the Cd pollution grade even reached moderate level in vegetables from free markets. In all vegetable samples, the Cu content was below the national representative value, and Zn content was similar to the national representative value.
