Abstract
Objective:To study the chemical constituents of the peels of Camellia pitardii.Method:Chemical constituents were isolated by various chromatographic methods and were identified by physicochemical characters and spectroscopic analysis or comparison with standard compounds.Result:From the ethyl acetate extract of the peels of C.pitardii, seven compounds were isolated and identified as kaempferol(1),gallic acid(2),protocatechuicacid(3),oleanolic acid(4),daucosterol(5),β-sitosterol(6),lupeol(7).Conclusion:Compounds 1-7 were obtained from the peels of C.pitardii for the first time.
