Abstract
Objectives:To investigate the efficacy and toxicity of autologous peripheral blood stem cells(APBSC) mobilization based on etoposide(VP-16) combined with recombinant human granulocyte colony stimulating factor(rhG-CSF) on patients with malignant lymphoma.Methods:26 malignant lymphoma patients were treated with high dose chemotherapy with APBSCT,including 22 patients with NHL and 4 with HD.VP-16 mobilization regimen: VP-16 1 500 mg/m2 was administered by intravenous drip(day 1~3).rhG-CSF at the dose of 5~10 μg/kg or 300 μg was injected subcutaneously once a day since the next day when the white blood cells reached the nadir until the end of APBCS harvest.APBSC harvest began when WBC≥5.0 ×109/L.Results:After APBSC mobilization, the numbers of MNC and CD34+ were 5.20×108/kg(range,3.42×108/kg~ 7.46×108/kg),5.15×106/kg(range,1.74×106/kg ~10.81×106/kg) in this study.Median(range) time for the recovery of WBC1.0×109/L,and absolute neutrophil count(ANC)0.5×109/L were+12(+10~+16) days and +13(+11~+18) days respectively. There was no transplantation related death.Conclusions:Etoposide-based chemotherapy and rhG-CSF might be alternative in the mobilization of stem cells for autologous transplantation in patients with malignant lymphoma.
