Abstract
The expressions of adiponectin and resistin decreased markedly in rats fed with high fat,but after N-acetylcysteine(NAC)treatment,the expression of adiponectin increased significantly(P<0.01).No change could be oberserved in adiponectin receptor-1 after using NAC.The decreased expressions of adiponectin and resistin might play an important role in weight gain, hyperglycemia, abnormal lipid metabolism and insulin resistance in rats fed with high fat.NF-kB inhibitor could increase adiponectin level in parallel with the improvement of high fat-induced insulin resistance, but it did not influence the expression of adiponectin receptor- 1.
