Abstract

Objective To investigate the current situation of autoantibodies detection of Shanghai in order to standardize the technology of detection. Methods There were two external quality assessments for autoantibodies detection. The panel consisting of 8 liquid serum samples was distributed to each laboratory. All laboratories returned the results on schedule. The testing items included antinuclear antibody(ANA),anti-extractable nuclear antigen(ENA).Results 32 laboratories detected ANA used indirect immunofluorescence(IIF) method. The acceptable rate of ANA was 98.1%.The rate of positive and negative acceptable were 96.9% and 100.0%.We have got better result from signals fluorescence pattern than multiplicity samples.A wide dispersion of ANA titers was obtained.38 laboratories detected anti-ENA antibody by immunoblot method. The acceptable rate of ANA was 76.3%.The results from(SS)-B antibody were lower than other antibodies. The quality of detecting kits was diverse. Conclusions The quality of autoantibody detection needs to be improved.Autoantibody detection in routine practice needs to be standardized.
