Deliberation on Several Issues of the Study on Prison History

The initiation of study on the history of prison in China is late and the development of it is slow. Many ideas of theories need to be further deliberated and probed. For instance, the establishment of the maturity of feudal prison system, the orientation of the origin or development of “Luqiu” system, the determination of the first code of prison in Chinese history, and the study on the characteristics of the development of Chinese prison history. It is significantly important for us to know the past of prisons, to adopt experience, to administrate prisons, and to improve prisons.
