Abstract
Scientism is a newly-coined concept which has caused many debates.On the base of extensive examination of the concept of scientism,the paper discloses its root thoughts of ontological naturism,of epistemological foundationalism, of methodological reductionism,and of axiological expansionism.Finally it discusses different forms of scientism in science,philosophy and society.
