Abstract

Photocatalysis TiO2 and Co doped TiO2 were prepared by a sol-gel method. The surface morphology and properties of devices were characterized by SEM and XRD.The photocatalytic degradation of methyl orange was employed under UV light irradiation as the probe reaction to evaluate its photocatalytic activity. The results showed that the photocatalysis prepared possesses mesoporous structure, well distribution, regular morphologies, and existing titanium oxide, and rough surface with defects. The results indicated that the methyl orange was degraded by 96.2% ,which showed photocatalytic activity of Co/TiO2 was better than that TiO2 .
