Abstract
The advanced culture is a symbol in ideology. And the contemporary Chinese culture can be defined as a socialist culture with Chinese characteristics, which embodies the features of science, time, nationality, openness, popularity, and innovation. An establishment and development of the socialist culture with the Chinese characteristics must uphold as guidelines Marxism, Mao Zedong Thought and Deng Xiaoping Theory; must educate generation after generation of citizens to become ideal-oriented, moral, educated, and disciplined; must strengthen the construction of the socialist ideology and morality; must inherit and develop on progressive cultural achievements of all states and nations in the world; and must uninterruptedly make innovations based on the time and practice.
