Abstract
Objective:Analysis of serum procalcitonin guidance for reasonable application of antibiotics in lower respiratory tract infection in patients with value. Methods:From 2012 December to my courtyard department of Pediatrics in2013 December were treated 160 cases of patients with lower respiratory tract infection. The patients were divided into two groups randomly, the control group were treated with the standard antibiotic treatment, the observation group in the procalcitonin guidance given antibiotic treatment, compared 2groups of patients with treatment effect. Results:In cough, fever, cough, asthma, lung wet rales and other clinical symptoms and signs disappeared time, the observation group and the control group were not statistically significant,P0.05,however,the observation group use of antibiotics, antibiotic use average time, average hospitalization time and average hospitalization expenses were significantly lower than those in the control group patients, the difference was statistically significant,P0.05.Conclusion:Serum procalcitonin results can well guide clinicians to regulate the use of antibiotics, reduce hospitalization time, cost of hospitalization, therefore,in clinical work,we can consider the application of antibiotics in patients with monitoring drop procalcitonin level to better,do have a definite object in view.
