An Investigation of Dapanjiang’s Buyi Bronze Drum and the Culture of Its Music

Dapanjiang Cun of Guanling County (in Guizhou Privince) is a closed and primitive Buyi village in the No. 13 Buyi ethnic native-language-speaking zone. With its long history and rich cultural resources,it has a bronze drum civilization in specially good condition, and is of important cultural value. As an introduction to attract valuable opinions of specialists and the fraternity of the same interest, this paper tries to make an rough exploration and study on the aspects of characteristics of the worship of bronze drum, the inheritance and performance of bronze drum music and the drum music.
