Abstract

[Aims]The study aims to clarify the resistance of Botrytis cinerea to pyrimethanil.[Methods]One hundred and one B.cinerea strains were isolated from diseased tomato fruits or leaves, which were collected from different regions of Henan Province, and their resistance to pyrimethanil was evaluated by the method of hypha growth inhibition.[Results]The frequency for high, middle, and low resistance to pyrimethanil were 7.92,51.49 and 21.78%,respectively.[Conclusions]The B.cinerea from tomato in Henan has already generated different level resistance to pyrimethanil. The management for tomato grey mould disease should replace or rotate using reasonable fungicide without cross-resistance with pyrimethanil.
