Abstract
In this paper,we study the data of mobile geomagnetic survey with S method and compare the results with the seismic active frequency of small earthquake cluster.It is found that when the anomaly of s value appears, the seismic active frequency of small earthquake cluster increases within one year.Otherwise,it decreases.If there is anomalous s value in the mobile geomagnetic survey line,an earthquake M S4 0 may occur in the adjacent area.So S method is practical to predict the medium- short term earthquake in the area with few earthquakes.
