Abstract

Objective:To compare the aripiprazole and risperidone in the treatment of schizophrenia and safety.Methods:64 patients with schizophrenia were randomly divided into two groups, group of 32 cases of aripiprazole, risperidone group of 32 patients were treated for 8 weeks;to negative and positive symptom scale(PANSS) and treatment of the symptoms Scale(TESS) were assessed the efficacy and adverse reactions. Results: The results in the treatment of the first 8 weeks, the two groups were markedly effective rate was 68.8% and 65.7%(P 0.05),the effective rates were 90.7% and 93.8%(P0.05),the two groups before and after treatment of the PANSS total score in the same group There was a significant difference(P0.01),between the two groups showed no significant difference(P0.05).Conclusions: Aripiprazole and risperidone for schizophrenia therapy equivalent aripiprazole side effects less than risperidone.
