Abstract

The isoelectric point of water soluble N-(2-carboxylbenzoyl)chitosan was measured by nephelometery, the results showed that each N-(2-carboxylbenzoyl) chitosan had a isoelectric point around 7 and the isoelectric point decreased with the decreasing of the percent of remains amino(—NH_2%). The method of nephelometery that was used in the measurement of the isoelectric point of polyelectrolyte had been explained in theoretically in this paper.
