Progress on the Canine Parvovirus Disease

Canine parvovirus disease is an acute,contagious disease caused by canine parvovirus(CPV),characterized primarily by severe vomiting,hemorrhagic enteritis and lymphopenia,sudden death caused by myocarditis.Canine parvovirus disease is one of the most severe infectious disease in dogs,caused high morbidity and mortality,induced serious economic loss.This paper outlined research progress on biological properties,genome structure,methods for detection of canine parvovirus,and epidemiology,pathogenesis and pathologic lesion,clinical symptoms,vaccine research of the disease.
